"A&E suspended the “Duck Dynasty” star last week after his inflammatory comments in a GQ interview, calling homosexuality a sin, saying the Nazis needed Jesus and that he never saw the mistreatment of any black person growing up in Louisiana before the civil rights era." Why don't you all just take a step back and realize that this was a terrible interview and he doesn't need people to stand with him, but more so he needs people to educate him. If you honestly stand with him; then you might as well go to war with the North. Phil's opinions are his; but that does not mean that he can say anything he wants with no regards to public attention to them. How many of you would love to tell your boss what you actually think of them? We live in a country where you are entitled to speak your mind, but don't expect your job to be waiting for you when you get back, FYI - I have read the entire interview, done my homework on his background in speaking to his congregation and other public events and I also have an education. I would love to have an intellectual debate about how someone that believes in the American ideals can believe that what was spoken was what is best for America. I believe in free speech, and I do not ask that people make mistakes, but I do ask that they pay for them.

Frankly, I am disappointed in Americans. A multimillionaire is put on hiatus by a television network for expressing his point of view, and MILLIONS of Americans create FaceBook pages, sign petitions, boycott A&E and anyone who appears to be siding with them. The Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces, the President of these United States, tells the military that they can't use the word "Christmas" and ... nothing. Really, people? REALLY? Note, Phil Robertson was NOT denied his freedom of speech. He said everything he wanted to say. A&E made a (bad) business decision based on his speech, but they didn't tell him before the interview what he could and could not say. These soldiers, however, were forbidden to use the word "Christmas." That, people, is denial of free speech, and the people suffering the deprivation are the very ones fighting and dying for everybody's right to say, "Merry Christmas," "Happy Hanukkah," "Happy Ramaden," "Happy Kwanza," "Bah, Humbug," or nothing at all. Or - SCREW YOU, OBAMA! Where are the petitions? Where are the FaceBook pages? Where are the protests, the boycotts? Where is the march on Washington? Where is the cotton-picking OUTRAGE? Do you really, REALLY care more about "Duck Dynasty" than you do about the people who guard your freedoms? I am ... heartbroken. I bet Phil is, too.
