The "Don't Tread on Me!" Petition States: 

As a concerned citizen, I am outraged by the unconstitutional actions of the Obama Administration and the 111th Congress. I am issuing my personal “Cease and Desist” order on these continuing attacks on our liberties! I stand against the enactment of the overtly socialist agenda being advanced by liberal Democrats in Congress and the White House. Those ideologies do not reflect the will of the vast majority of Americans. By signing this petition, I am joining with Liberty Counsel and citizens across the nation who are:

  • Calling on our elected officials to abide by the rule of law and adhere to the Constitutional mandates set forth by our Founding Fathers.

  • Calling on Congress to act only with the “consent of the governed” and the support of a majority of the American people.

  • Calling for an end to the socialization of American industries through takeovers and “bailouts.”

  • Calling for fiscal sanity and an end to massively expensive programs and elevations of the national debt ceiling that are crushing the American people in senseless debt.

  • Demanding that there be transparency in legislative processes and an end to the “closed door” scheming that has become the norm for the 111th Congress.

  • Opposing any and all efforts to strip our faith and heritage from our schools and public places through judicial activism, legislation or historical revisionism.

In addition, I am deeply concerned about the Obama Administration’s assault on our system of checks and balances and its continual pressure on Congress to compliantly bend to its will. I call on the President to stop his administration’s overt arm-twisting and outright domination of the legislative process.

I add my voice to the growing number of outraged citizens who are demanding that this administration “Cease and Desist” from treading on the American people and their interests. We demand that arrogant, self-serving officials listen to our voice!
